MAMA SAYS AND HANDLE WITH LOVE LAUNCH a
DOULA SCHOLARSHIP FUND!
We are excited to announce the launch of the Handle With Love VT Doula Scholarship Fund! Mama Says and Handle With Love are partnering up to provide need-based financial aid to Vermont families who couldn't otherwise afford to hire professional labor support persons ("doulas").
*april Parent Meet-Up*
When: April 6th
Where: Hayes Room of the Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Montpelier
Who: Parents & children
What: We will learn about Herbs & Homeopathy to give your children. We will talk about natural remedies for colds, coughs, and ear infections. Taught by Shona R. MacDougall, clinical herbalist for 18 years, who currently works at Vermont Center For Integrative Herbalism. Find out more about VCIH and Shona here: www.vtherbcenter.org
See you there!
About the Monthly Parent Meet-Ups in general: Maybe you are wondering where a good play space is for the kids on rainy days, or have questions about what your toddler is eating. Perhaps you are new to parenthood and just need some community support or guidance from other parents. All are welcome- whether you are a new parent, new to the area, or just looking to expand your community and tap into new resources. Monthly meetings are for mamas (and papas!) to meet, share ideas, advice and information about our kids, our central Vermont community, and each other.
Normally we meet on the first Monday of every month (unless there's a Monday holiday and then it's the second Monday of the month) for coffee, tea, snacks and good conversation in the Hayes Room of the Kellogg-Hubbard Library from 10-11:30am.
Although these meetings are mainly to offer parent support and community building, kids are always welcome! We'll have some kids toys there but feel free to bring more to share.
Mark your calendars!
